Dèjá vu foundfootagefilm

previousnext
Dèjá vu is a conglomerat of short clips of private super-8 material. We collected over 120 rolls of film from the years 1960-1990. Aim of the project was to put private cinematic memory in a new context. For that we added a textual layer in form of a narrator. We used the found footage technique, in which the spectator is invited to get away from his own seeing habits, and second let the film material come to the fore. This project was realised at the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg.
